More and more work is being done away from offices. Entire companies are shifting to allow their workforce spend all or part of their time away from the office. Start-ups are taking advantage of never needing an office and being able to hire the best talent rather than the talent that can make the commute to some central location.
At Work Apart is a project that's been pinging around inside my head for the last six months. I have worked from home as a freelancer, consultant, contractor and employee for more than a decade now and have experienced and witnessed the benefits and challenges remote work brings.
It has to start somewhere, so initially, At Work Apart will offer a collection of resources including tools, articles, books, websites, along with original written content including opinion, my shared experiences, interviews with people in or leading remote teams and companies.
If you have suggestions for resources, or you're interested in sharing your stories of remote work, life as a digital nomad or running a remote team or company, please send an email to [email protected].
